More dogs

Guinness always has had certain games that he played with certain dogs -- some he chases, others chase him, some he head wrestles with, some he fullbody wrestles, some he only sniffs around, some he likes the owner and is not interested in the dog -- particularly little barky dogs or unfriendly dogs. He seems to be becoming more sedate.

Holly, the dog we see most every morning, and Guinness no longer want to play, but they do love to wander and sniff together. They are buddies. Here they are content to be together while Ginger (almost out of sight behind Holly) is charging to say hello. Though Holly is serene now too beyond the initial rush for her hello sniff. Dee, the little white dog, loves to tell Guinness off as Guinny runs to receive a treat from Roger. Otherwise, Dee is standoffish.

Guinness almost seems to find more pleasure in seeing people than dogs! Here he is running off to greet Ginger's parents yet ignoring Ginger.

Ginger is having a conflab with Holly while Guinness drinks in the attention of Ginger's parents.

On the way home down the bikepath, Guinness does his own thing, ignoring the others walking with us. But I have to keep my eye on him, as he knows every break in the fence and how to escape!

He used to love to head wrestle with Marley. Marley has painful hips, and Guinness seems to know that instinctively, so only plays with Marley's head and Marley plays right back. But now, on the rare days Marley appears (not shown), there is no head butting. They are simply happy to be near each other.

This week, I did a makeup Rotary meeting at a sister club. The speaker was from Guide Dogs. This is Orca. Lovely dog! These trained dogs are amazing as well as the trainers! Not only do they train dogs for the blind, deaf, and handicapped, but now they train for autistic children as well!

I had to stop in at the BMW dealership for some assistance. This "Lucky Dog" was there at the service counter as well!

Willie, who suffers from seizures, came to doggie park today. His mom said that his organs are shutting down and today is his last day. I asked if she would like a picture of them together one last time. What a sweet little dog. He is now playing with Hershey, Andy, and Blackberry in heaven!
